Jackie used a large digital cut file of a pumpkin for the background of her Halloween decor layout. She cut the outline from white, backing it with subtle patterned papers. One of my favorite icons of Autumn is pumpkins, they really are the ambassadors of Fall. They come in many different sizes, shapes and colors, they work for Fall or Halloween, they can be carved, stacked and even cooked. Such a versatile vegetable can be used on all sorts of scrapbook layout ideas from fun and funky to elegant and fashionable. Today lets take a plunge and be inspired with some Pumpkin Layouts and paper crafting projects.

Linda used pumpkins on her Fall pocket page, there’s some in a front porch photo and a large printed pocket card. She’s added details with stamping and hand written bullet points for the month of October. Take a closer look at the Cocoa Daisy blog.

Ahley used rows of die cut pumpkins and grass for her Pumpkin Carving page. She added extras like Jack O’ Lanterns and black cats in each row too as well as her title using orange and black to keep it cohesive over the teal background. Learn more at the Bella Blvd. blog.

If you don’t have pumpkins try a similar shape like circles. Claire used a wide border of large overlapping circles backed with pattern papers, adding the pumpkin photo inside one circle. She added some movement with dripping paint and texture with puffy letter stickers, vellum and twine. I came across her idea on the scrappysoulmate Instagram page.

This beautiful Autumn page uses pinks and purples for a bolder color palette. There’s also lots of dimension from 3D flowers, chipboard elements and rub-ons. I came across this idea on Diane McClosky’s gallery at Scrapbook.com.

Pumpkin spice is the king of all Fall flavors so I love that this die Natsuko used included a pumpkin sitting atop a stack of mugs! The die fills more than 1/2 of the page with a couple of photos and journaling balancing the rest. You can find more about this idea on The Cut Shoppe Instagram page.

This darling double page spread has pattern paper and printed dies of pumpkins in traditional orange but adds some trendy modern colors like teals and pinks too. Use your scrapbooking products to create a wonderful shaker shadow box project, add a photo to turn it into a photo frame. Mariel added some chain stitching in coordinating thread colors to printed pumpkins, placed them on plaid paper and put them in her frame. Sachiyo was very clever creating the lovely large pumpkin on her page. She used an apple stencil for the basic shape, drawing out three ovals to overlap each other to form the pumpkin, cutting them from Fall plaid papers. Find her directions on the Creative Memories blog.

Jayma used her Cricut electronic die cutting machine to cut and design her fun double set of Halloween pages. There’s spider web backgrounds, funky pumpkins backed with orange papers, tiny stars and fun sentiments. You can watch her process video over on the Playing with Paper blog.

And lastly Linda captured all the fun of picking pumpkins at the patch with this double page spread. She used stamps with coordinating dies to create lots of pretty Autumn leaves.
